The Design Hotels™ community is large, scattered and often on-the-go. With our Projects we want to create temporal hospitality experiences, or touchdown spots for like-minded people to come together, celebrate, create. As shifting hubs, they will change in flavor and form, but always satisfy the various cravings of travel. San Giorgio Mykonos started its humble beginnings in the ’90s thanks to a successful local fisherman who laid claim to a piece of Paradise Beach. Step into 2012 and the 34-room property has changed hands to the neighboring Paradise Club. Long-time friends of Design Hotels™, proprietors Thomas Heyne and Mario Hertel together with the owner Markos Daktilidis approached the brand to design a new hospitality experience. After its first project on a pristine beach in Tulum, Mexico, Design Hotels™ now brings another dimension of temporary hospitality experience to Europe.
