BLOOD BROTHER :BARON

Contemporary menswear brand, Blood Brother, has collaborated with the erotic paperback publication, Baron, to create a series of printed Tee’s and sweatshirts. Sold exclusively through Oki-Ni online and Selfridges in-store, the collection coincides with the highly anticipated second edition of Baron and will be available to buy in mid May.
The union of Baron with Blood Brother ties in perfectly with the ethos of the label to showcase emerging talent within the fields of photography and art while capturing the uniquely voyeuristic element of the quarterly magazine. The clothing will feature a range of artwork and graphics from a far-flung trio of designers.

These include: Viktor Hachmang. Netherlands based Hachmang - cites 60’s Pyschedelia and 80’s Postmodern as inspiration for his work which often alludes to famous artists and artworks. His contribution, the “Threesome” sweatshirt as well as the “PurpleHeart” and “S&M” T-Shirt, typifies the artist’s penchant for the naive imagery of strict geometry using hand drawn forms.

Tyrone LeBon: Tyrone is a filmmaker and photographer based in London. He came to prominence at the age the 18 after his first film was screened by MTV. He has since worked on numerous film and photography projects shown by a variety of international publications and broadcasters. LeBon’s contribution to the collection features artwork that will be in the next issue of the magazine. The “Tyrone LeBon for Baron” Tee’s will available as part of a limited edition.

Visual artist, Eva Stenram, sees photography as a medium of inconstancy and transformation. Incorporating digitally manipulated photographs, found photographs and images from the Internet, her work comments on our complex relationship with the photographic image, our relationship with surveillance culture and our relationship with privacy. Stenram seeks to unsettle the original functions of our society’s familiar photographic genres. Stenram has exhibited internationally, most notably at the V&A (London) and the Zendai Museum of Modern Art (China). In 2012 she was nominated for the Les Rencontres d’Arles Discovery Award and has been selected as one of ten finalists in the Hyeres International Photography Competition 2013. Eva has created three garments for the collection. Her “ZombieBride” artwork will be adorned on both t-shirts and sweat shirts
Prices range from £40 for Tees to £85 for Sweatshirts.
