Gregor Schmidinger



A male prostitute, who struggles with anxiety attacks, runs into the neglected son of his client. He has to care for the kid first in order to overcome his own anxiety.




Benjamin has one wish, he wants to go on a date with Lydia. As soon as he is on the first date with Lydia, everything turns into different direction as he imagined it.


Gregor Schmidinger is a filmmaker from Austria. At the age of eight, he started to produce his own shows in his living room with the camcorder from his uncle. At the age of 14, he was part of a team that produced a promotional video for his school. That was the time when he began making his own movies. After years of experimenting with friends, he wrote his first script called "Love - Your deepest fears become true" which he self financed.

Schmidinger attended "BORG Bad Leonfelden" high school, which specializes in art and digital media. In 2005, he was accepted to "Salzburg University of Applied Sciences" to major in "Digital Television". Again, he realized several short film projects with higher production values and future technologies such as interactive movies. His directorial debut was the interactive movie "Don't Look Back" (2007) and the interactive mobile TV series "The Sign" (2007) for Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and the Austrian National Broadcaster.

In fall 2007, he was accepted as an exchange student at "Bowling Green State University", with the department of theater and film. Schmidinger made his U.S. directing debut with "The Boy Next Door" (2008). At the Bowling Green State University, he got also in touch with theater directing and strengthened his skills in scenic work and especially in working with actors.

For six months, Schmidinger did an internship in commercial film production at “Guillaume Films” in Frankfurt am Main. During his internship, he worked as an assitant director for the charity short film production “Lulaland” (2008) - directed by Jan Hellstern. Recently, Schmidinger finished his diploma movie “Der Grenzgänger” (2009), and his diploma thesis on “transmedia storytelling”. He graduated from Salzburg University of Applied Sciences in spring 2009 and is currently apsiring a position in the entertainment industry.
