The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts, a glittering ensemble of over 75 hotels and resorts in more than 35 countries, has reunited Waris Ahluwalia with Luca Guadagnino, the director of their Golden Globe-nominated film, I Am Love to create a cinematic experience that offers a glimpse into the hidden treasures of some of America's favorite destinations. The short film stars Agyness Deyn with music by Jason Schwartzman and Woody Jackson, and was shot at three of The Luxury Collection's most iconic properties across the United States, aiming to inspire global travelers to explore and discover destinations in a unique and authentic way.

As an impassioned traveler and The Luxury Collection's newest Global Explorer, Ahluwalia, conceived the project with Luca Guadagnino, Sandro Kopp and Tilda Swinton, who gratefully acknowledged The Luxury Collection's philanthropic contribution towards the foundation of a new school for the inspired education of teenagers in the Scottish Highlands. The brand's mantra, "Life Is A Collection of Experiences. Let Us Be Your Guide," led the creative direction for the team to explore the unexpected joys of a cross-country journey. From the stately Equinox in Vermont, to the sun-soaked beauty of the Phoenician in Arizona, and across the Pacific to the legendary Royal Hawaiian, Agyness Deyn is the muse styled by costume designer Heidi Bivens with hair and makeup by Nico Guillis. The short film is produced by Waris Ahluwalia and Lucy Cooper through New York production house ALLDAYEVERYDAY.
"I am honored to work with dear friends to create such a profoundly beautiful film that highlights the American landscape and the unique indigenous experiences we seek as travelers," says Ahluwalia. "The American continent offers great diversity, great beauty and great adventure - the film captures this spirit through The Luxury Collection’s exceptional destinations."

Inspired by Dazed & Confused magazine's visionary co-founder Jefferson Hack, No_Code's versatile but timeless designs are intended for both men and women. “The collection is really in sync, but each shoe is also wholly unique so I wanted to create something that played up each shoe’s specific characteristics,” says Gaab of his decision to display the collection in an array of animated scenes. Designed with the cosmopolitan nomad in mind, the collection is lightweight and crafted in Tod’s signature quality leathers and suede to transition easily from casual daytime use to more formal nocturnal scenarios. “There’s an easiness about the styles, they are minimal and can work in different contexts,” adds Gaab. “They can be sleek and simple, but also a bit more pop and fun, so it’s all about seeing them from different perspectives.”

Culture Clash' is the title of Blaak's new Spring/Summer 2012 collection, where the results are a experimental combination of the two words encapsulating clashing elements. Using sculpted shapes, inspirations from Ancient Rome are fused with elements from Imperial Japan, where the two identities meet to create one.

Bold, sculptural proportions are revamped with Japanese Oiran-inspired detailling and voluminous kimono shapes. Pleated trousers as a reference to Roman columns as well as the traditional Hakama are worn with draped, elongated silhouettes. Dazed presents the new video and campaign shot by photographer Takay, featuring the model Michael Brisby.

Erin Barr, a Wisconsin native, began her career in fashion as a hair and make-up artist. After graduating from the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, Barr was offered a job in New York where she remained for three years. Although working at top salons, garnering a celebrity clientele, and working on editorial shoots, Barr yearned to design a more complete vision. She moved to London to study fashion design at Central Saint Martin’s college of Art and Design. After a year, Barr returned to the States to complete her studies at Parson’s School of Design, which she followed up with an internship at Alexander Wang and a job as a design assistant at Cushnie Et Ochs before establishing her own label.

Erin Barr’s debut Spring 2012 collection is titled “An American Tomboy in Paris” and explores the dichotomy between minimalist dressing with the spirit and detailing of classic western clothing in a way that is both innovative and fresh yet romantically reflective. The collection sets out to showcase a woman’s mystery and sex appeal but also highlights her strength and confidence. Barr also sets out to redefine the Luxury goods market with a collection that utilizes the most luxurious fabrications, but aren’t overpriced beyond reach. Spring 2012 was shown in presentation form during New York Fashion Week and is represented by MAO Public Relations.

You can only say ‘my body’s a temple’ so many times whilst consuming your body weight in beer on a Friday night and expect be taken seriously in this regard! So with that in mind, we proclaim that FIASCO Towers is now a cookie and beer-free zone until further notice. Let prohibition henceforth rule against sugary snacks and brain grenades… unless it’s a special occasion of course… Or a Friday… Or a Wednesday… Ok let’s move on shall we?

There is a reason for our new slender-toned attitude to life; we have a busy year ahead of us – please now imagine a Rocky style montage replete with The Eye Of The Tiger on the soundtrack – We have 12 new issues of FIASCO to devise and place into your eager hands, we have fashion shows in Milan, Paris, Barcelona, London and of course New York to strut our funky stuff and this nagging need to get FIASCO into more newsstands globally… Getting Stronger!

Step back in time to 1944, following World War II when due to a shortage of resources, the Haute Couture fashion houses of Paris created the Thêatre de la Mode. Imagine a spectacle of fashion in miniature, designed specifically for dolls but with all the exquisite detail and perfection of the regular collections.

Similarly, the shoe department at Louis Vuitton is inextricably connected to the sphere of dolls. Exactly the same workshop in Fiesso d'Artico, Italy, where the Louis Vuitton shoe collections are created is entrusted with the task of fabricating the parallel miniature versions for Fabrizio Viti’s private doll collection. The attention to detail is striking and in this short stop motion animation, his dolls and shoes come to life in another inspiring spectacle.

This sentence perfectly captures Liat Ginzburg, her outlook on life, passion for jewelry, and unique, bold and fun-filled designs. Her daring statement pieces with their abundant use of color and electrifying style have quickly made her well-known across Israel.

Liat`s lines swept the Israeli fashion scene with stylists, journalists and celebrities alike clamoring to wear and feature her designs. Demand for her pieces has been rapidly growing ever since, with local fashion opinion leaders describing Liat Ginzburg as "the most promising and interesting jewelry and accessories designer in Israel".

The designs express a contemporary view on the 90`s fashion and club scene, and are characterized by bold colorfulness and blunt, “disharmonic” combinations. Her influences range from the night life scene, through her career researching and teaching about art, and all the way to her poem writing and art photography.

The jewelry pieces are made from vintage elements from the 70`s and the 80`s, which Liat collects on her travels in streets and markets around the world, as well various plastic, perspex, rubber and wood components. The pieces are handcrafted and come in limited edition, due to the rarity of these elements.

Liat GInzburg is now starting to become known internationally. Her designs have been showcased in Pret-A-Porter Paris The Box and Craft Boston, and featured in Grazia Paris, Vogue Italy and on Trinny and Susannah`s TV show and web. Her collections can be found in prestigious shops in Israel and in selected European stores.
